I bought this about a eight months ago for placement on my Saiga IZ-114 .223/5.56 rifle. First Impression: This thing is lighter than heck! It's a little bit lighter than the factory forearm. After taking it to the range: excellent mounting system for anything from a bipod to a foregrip. I mounted a red dot on it and it held its zero. One thing to remember is that large thumb screws or QD mounts will not mount on the side unless the lever/thumb screws face downward. This is not a negative for me because it forces symmetry and if a lever or thumb screw was in the way, I would simply switch the mount.
PROS:
Extremely light
Durable
Plenty or rail space
Rail covers for comfortable grip
Easy to put on
Numbered slots for remounting sight
Grooved rail so you can use your iron sights
CONS:
Is foreign and does not count as a 922r compliant part
BOTTOM LINE: Highly recommendable. It has held up well even without rail covers and babying.
